Wantd is operated by AdaptivCX LLC, a Colorado limited liability company ("Wantd," "we," "us"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
It applies to the Wantd website, applications, and services (together, the "Platform"). If you do not agree with this policy, do not use the Platform.
Account information. When you register we collect your email address, username, and password. Passwords are stored in hashed form by our authentication provider; we never see or store your password in readable form.
Profile information. Any display name, avatar, or details you choose to add.
Content you post. Want Ads, Listings, offers, messages, card descriptions, and photographs you upload. Want Ads and Listings are public — anyone using the Platform can see the card, condition, and price you have posted, along with your username.
Transaction information. What you bought or sold, the price, the fees, shipping and tracking details, and the shipping address you provide for delivery.
Support communications. Anything you send us by email or through the Platform.
We do not collect or store your card number. Payment card details are entered directly into our payment processor, Stripe, and are never transmitted to or stored on Wantd's systems. We receive only a payment reference, the amount, and the status of the transaction.
Sellers. To receive payouts, sellers complete onboarding with Stripe. Stripe collects the identity and banking information it requires by law — which may include legal name, date of birth, address, tax identification number, and bank account details. That information is collected by Stripe, not by Wantd. We receive confirmation of whether onboarding is complete and a Stripe account identifier.
Stripe's handling of your information is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
Log and device data. When you use the Platform our servers record standard technical information, including IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested, and timestamps. This is used to operate the service, diagnose problems, and detect abuse.
Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies that are necessary to operate the Platform — principally to keep you signed in and to maintain your session securely. These session cookies are set by our authentication provider. We do not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies, and we do not load third-party analytics or advertising scripts.
If you upload a photograph of a card for identification, that image may be transmitted to a third-party artificial-intelligence provider that returns a description of the card so we can match it to our catalog.
Images are processed for identification only. We do not use your card photographs to train third-party AI models.
The identification is performed by Anthropic (the Claude model family). Your photograph is transmitted to Anthropic for that identification and is not retained by Wantd — it is not saved to our database, our file storage, or any cache, and it is discarded once the identification result is returned. We do not store the image or the identification result.
We use the information described above to:
With other users. Your username and the contents of your Want Ads and Listings are public. When a transaction is agreed, the buyer's shipping name and address are shared with the seller so the card can be delivered, and the seller's shipping and tracking details are shared with the buyer.
With Stripe, to process payments, verify sellers, and route payouts.
With service providers who operate the Platform on our behalf — including our database and authentication provider, our hosting provider, and our email delivery provider. These providers may process your information only to provide services to us.
For legal reasons. We may disclose information where we believe it is required by law, subpoena, or other legal process; to enforce our Terms of Service; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Wantd, our users, or others.
In a business transfer. If AdaptivCX LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
The Platform's data is stored on servers located in the United States. Our infrastructure providers may process data in other locations in the course of delivering their services.
We keep your account information for as long as your account is open.
We retain transaction records — including what was sold, to whom, at what price, and associated tax and payment records — for as long as required to meet our legal, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations, which may extend beyond the closure of your account.
Public content you post, such as Want Ads and Listings, is removed from public view when you delete it or when it expires, though copies may persist in backups for a limited period.
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, hashed password storage, and row-level access controls on our database. Payment card data never touches our systems.
No system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to or from the Platform, and you use it at your own risk. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.
You can review and update your account information at any time from your profile. You can delete your Want Ads and Listings, and you can close your account by contacting us.
Depending on where you live — including under the Colorado Privacy Act and comparable state laws — you may have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address in Section 13. We will verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Some information cannot be deleted while it remains necessary for legal, tax, or dispute-resolution purposes — for example, records of a completed sale.
Marketing email. You may opt out of promotional messages at any time using the unsubscribe link. Transactional messages about your account, offers, and transactions are part of the service and cannot be opted out of while your account is open.
The Platform is not directed to children. You must be at least 18 years old to use it. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we will delete it. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date and, where practical, announced in the Platform. Your continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
